Here are the steps for setting up the Graphtec CE-6000 with VectorCUT.
Step 1. Connect the cutter via USB to the computer. Don't turn the cutter on yet.
Step 2. Install the cut driver that ships with the cutter. This will install the USB printing services and the required print driver.
Step 3. Install VectorCUT® 2.0 then turn the cutter on. (if it's already installed, skip this step)
Step 4. Add a new printer in the Windows Control Panel, Devices and Printers dialog. The Graphtec CE-6000 appears on the device list. Choose the make and model to complete the print driver configuration.
Step 5. In VectorCUT® 2.0, under the Cutters section in the right panel, choose the Graphtec CE-6000 cut driver from the dropdown menu. Next, select the Properties button. Select the Port Tab and choose the Printer Port and select the Graphtec CE-6000 printer from the Printers list and select OK.
When cutting and the file cuts too large or too small...
This is a simple fix within VectorCUT 2.0
When setting up the Graphtec CE6000 cutter, if the cutter language on the cutter is set to HPGL, the stepping setting in VectorCUT/Properties/Command Tab is normally set to 0.025. If the language is set to GPGL, the stepping setting would be set to 0.100.
So, if you are experiencing the cut size issue, test each language with each Stepping setting. GPGL (0.100 & 0.025) HPGL (0.100 & 0.025)
To test the size issue on the cutter... create a square shape file 2" high by 2" wide. Cut the file then measure the shape. Obviously it should match, but if it is off, it will normally be in equal increments. 1/4", 1/2", 1" etc... So if file is 2" but cutting at 1/4", set the Stepping to 0.025. (Normally the setting will be set to either 0.100 or 0.025)
Easily put, the lower the Stepping setting, the larger the file will cut.
