To convert your membership to a premium membership simply enter your customer number for any of the GroupeSTAHL™ Affiliate company into the field provided on the member homepage and submit. Once your customer number has been confirmed, you will automatically become a Premium Member. After completing the registration process and logging in to the member’s homepage, there are several ways to launch the design tools.

1. From the top navigation, choose the ‘Design’ button and select which application you’d like to load from the list.
2. Choose the application you’d like to launch from the left navigation.
3. When browsing the free clipart and templates, click on any design to load it into Design Studio.

You can use any Digital cutter as long as 1 of the following criteria are met:

1. The cut driver software that shipped with your cutter can import .plt, vector .pdf or post script (.ps) files.
2. Your HPGL cutter can be configured to work with VectorCUT® 1.0 (Windows XP and Vista) and VectorCUT® 2.0 (Windows 7, 8 and 10)

Absolutely! CadworxLIVE® is a full featured design application and can be used in any number of production processes. We have members who create artwork for cutting, digital printing, print & cut, direct to garment printing, embroidery, applique, screen printing, laser etching and a variety of other processes.

Alternatively, you can send your CadworxLIVE® creations to Stahls' ID or Transfer Express for fulfillment. If you'd like to send your designs to Stahls' ID or Transfer Express, simply export your design file and send it to Stahls ID Direct or Transfer Express using the file upload utilities on their respective websites.

• For custom cutting services export your vector artwork in .plt, .ps or .pdf file formats.
• For digital printing services, export your full color artwork as a .pdf file.

• For custom transfer services, export your vector artwork as color separated .ps files. When exporting your design from Design Studio, choose the 'Separate by Color Layer' on the export dialog.
  * When uploading files to Stahls' ID or Transfer Express, you will be contacted by a Customer Service Representative to finalize the order. The file upload process initiates the ordering process and the Customer Service Representative will assist you with completing the order.

The CadworxLIVE® design software is operating system independent and will work on any platform which supports modern Internet browsers.

VectorCUT® -- the cut driver software included with your Cadworxlive.com membership, requires Windows XP or higher and the Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 or higher. The currently available version of .Net Framework is 4.5 and can be downloaded from: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653.

VectorCUT® is not compatible with the Mac or UNIX platforms unless you have Parallels installed on your system.

To find .NET Framework versions by viewing the registry (.NET Framework 1-4)

1. On the Start menu, choose Run.
2. In the Open box, enter regedit.exe.
   * You must have administrative credentials to run regedit.exe.
3. In the Registry Editor, open the following subkey:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP
   The installed versions are listed under the NDP subkey. The version number is stored in the Version entry. For the .NET Framework 4 the Version entry is under the Client or Full subkey (under NDP), or under both subkeys.

Uninstall and Reinstall VectorCUT®. (PC Only or MAC using Parallels)

This is most likely a Windows permission issue. To fix this, you will need to uninstall and reinstall VectorCUT®.

To handle this, please go to the Control Panel -> Programs and Features and uninstall VectorCUT®.

Next, verify that VectorCUT® has been removed from the Windows directory by opening Windows Explorer and browse to C:/Program Files(x86)/VectorX to verify there is no folder named VectorX Software. While in the directory, browse to the Windows/Downloads folder and delete the VectorCUT® file as well.

Next, select the Windows Start button and enter %appdata% in the search window. This will find the Roaming folder. Select Roaming and find the GroupeStahl folder. Right click on the folder and select DELETE.

VectorCUT® should now be completely removed from your system and ready to reinstall VectorCUT® 1.0 or VectorCUT® 2.0 depending on which version of Windows is running.

 

To install VectorCUT® 1.0 and VectorCUT® 2.0

Go to the CadworX Live homepage and select SUPPORT/Downloads link.

This opens the Downloads page where you will find the links to download VectorCUT® 1.0 (Windows XP and Vista) and VectorCUT® 2.0 (Windows 7, 8, and 10) Select the appropriate version of VectorCUT® for your version of Windows and download.

After installation, open VectorCUT® by selecting the desktop icon and select your cutter from the Cutter pulldown list. If your cutter is not listed, select the Universal HPGL as your cutter.

Next, select the Properties button. Select the appropriate connection for how you are connected to the cutter. Majority of connections are by USB cable which is the Printer Port selection. Then in the Name pulldown list, select your cutter and select OK.

The computer should now communicate with the cutter. (Note: if your cutter is not listed in the pulldown list, your cutters driver may not be installed. Make sure you have them installed before continuing!) Once installed, your cutter should be available in the pulldown list. At this time you will want to make a small test cut file to verify the connection.
