Make sure that the PLTX file type is associated with the CadworX application.
1. Select the Windows Start button and select Default Programs on the right side of the Start Menu.
2. In the Default Programs window, select Associate a file type or protocol with a program. This populates all the programs on the computer with the file extensions used for each program.
3. Scroll and select the .pltx file extension.
4. Next, at the top of the window select Change Program. This opens the Open With window and CadworX should be one of the choices in the window, select it, then select OK.
5. Now attempt to send another file to VectorCUT®. It should open VectorCUT® this time.
6. Once VectorCUT® opens, select Preferences in the top menu and select Associate .pltx files with application.
7.If CadworX/VectorX is not listed as one of the Recommended Programs, you will need to browse to the program to select it.
8. In order to do this, select the Browse button opening the Open with... window and enter %appdata% in the file name field and select Open.
9. A list of Programs will appear and you want to browse to the GroupeStahl folder and double click on it opening to the VectorCut folder. Double click on the VectorCut folder opening sub folders and the VectorCut.Ui. Select the VectorCut.Ui and select Open. You have now successfully associated the VectorCut application with the .PLTX file format.
