Configuring VectorCUT® With Roland GX-24

**Please note that Roland's Windows 8 drivers will work with Window 10.

First, install the Roland GX-24 original cut software CutStudio. VectorCUT® 2.0 will not work without first installing the cutters original cut program. After installing CutStudio, make a test cut verifying that it works properly.
Next, download and install VectorCUT® 2.0 by going to CadworxLIVE® homepage and select SUPPORT/Downloads.
After installing both programs, follow the instructions below...

Open VectorCUT® 2.0 by using the desktop icon...

1. In the Cutter pulldown list, select the Roland GX-24.
2. Next, select the Properties button to the right of the Cutter list.
3. Under the Port tab, select Printer Port and select the GX-24 in the pulldown list to     the right and select OK.

  • If the cutter is not listed, normally this means that the driver is not installed on the computer and will need to be installed. Note: The driver is installed when Cut Studio is installed on the system.

4. Verify the connection by sending a test file from Design Studio to the cutter.

  • If it did not connect, go to Devices and Printers in your Windows Control Panel. The GX-24 should be listed under Printers and Faxes. Right click on the GX-24 and select Printer Properties. This opens the properties window for the cutter. Select the Port tab and verify that the cutter is paired with a USB port. If so and still not connecting to the cutter, if available, connect the USB cord to another USB port on the computer. In the Properties window, the GX-24 should switch to another port when changing USB ports. Select the new port with the check mark and select Apply/OK.

5. You should now be connect to VectorCUT® 2.0.

If you followed these instructions and still haven't made a connection, please contact support@cadworxlive.com
