How do I find out which version of Microsoft .NET Framework is installed on my system?

To find .NET Framework versions by viewing the registry (.NET Framework 1-4)

  1. On the Start menu, choose Run.
  2. In the Open box, enter exe.

You must have administrative credentials to run regedit.exe.

  1. In the Registry Editor, open the following subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP

The installed versions are listed under the NDP subkey. The version number is stored in the Version entry. For the .NET Framework 4 the Version entry is under the Client or Full subkey (under NDP), or under both subkeys.

If the number reads less than 2.0, you will need to download an up to date version of the Microsoft .NET Framework.

The Microsoft .NET Framework is only required to use VectorCUT® but is not needed in order to use any of the CadworxLIVE® designing software.
If needed, download the Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.5.2 installation file from the Microsoft Download Center

Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 include the .NET Framework 4.5. Therefore, you don't have to install the software on those operating systems.
